SOCIAL SECRETARIES

I joined Polo at the Sports Fair in week one and just couldn’t get enough of it! I play as often as my timetable allows and have loved every lesson, chukka and tournament… even the ones in the snow.

My favourite polo related moment has to be a chukka against St. Andrew’s University at Winter Nationals 2017. It was fast paced, hard work and exhilarating but we won, partly down to the beast of a pony that is Colita. You’ll always see me around the yard and it’s my job as social secretary to be there for new or existing members to make sure they get the most out of their experience with Warwick Polo.

My commitment to polo socials, some would say, is second to none and I love them almost as much as the game itself! When I’m not playing polo or at pop I put my energy into my Classical Archaeology and Ancient History degree; with only 8 contact hours a week it means I’m always available to chat polo!

Hello everyone, I’m Ollie and I am one of Warwick polo’s social secretaries for the next year. Having previously played some polo back home in Scotland, I already had an interest in playing the sport at university however, it was the people within the club that really got me involved. As I currently study philosophy, I have significantly fewer contact hours than most, giving me far more time than I deserve to spend at Tbar on campus, and occasionally planning social events. As social secretary you will see me running circling at Pop with Izzie (although you won’t be able to hear her), as well as organising and leading other social events throughout the year, trying to get as many involved as possible. Feel free to message me if you have any questions and I look forward to getting to meet new members!
